A highly regarded company based in Sarnia is actively seeking an accomplished Welder to join their exceptional team. This outstanding opportunity is a short contract.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic and a hardworking attitude
  • Must be CWB-4G certified (flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead)
  • Possesses excellent listening skills and the ability to follow directions accurately
  • Capable of working efficiently and effectively in extreme weather conditions
  • Proficient in welding techniques, showcasing the necessary skills for the job
  • Capable of standing, bending, and sitting as required for the role's physical demands
  • Able to lift weights of up to 40 lbs. with ease, demonstrating physical strength and capability
  • Must pass a drug and alcohol test

Responsibilities:

  • Perform welding tasks using various techniques such as Mig, Tig, and Stick to weld patches on rail cars
  • Ensure the proper setup and calibration of welding equipment for precise and high-quality welds
  • Follow welding procedures and safety guidelines to maintain a safe work environment
  • Inspect and assess the quality of welds to meet industry standards and specifications
  • Collaborate with team members to coordinate workflow and meet project deadlines
  • Maintain and care for welding equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and longevity
  • Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used for documentation purposes
  • Identify and troubleshoot welding issues to resolve any technical challenges efficiently
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, contributing to a smooth and effective production process
  • Continuously improve welding skills through training and professional development opportunities
