Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for a world-class winery organization in St Catharines.  This client batches and processes juices for making at home wine kits. The processing team member works closely with the quality department and performs many labour related duties like batching, processing liquids, measuring, and material handling. This is a long term, full time, permanent position for the right candidate. If you have experience within beverage manufacturing, wine making, or production environments, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities 

• Responsible for the accurate daily batching and processing of the production department work orders. (according to Q.A. specifications.) drawing the juices from the cellars, following the recipes, batch juice from grape skins into different tanks
• Responsible for batching all work orders (Grape skins (including labeling), and Acid)
• Responsible for all processing morning start up procedures and end of day processing clean up
• Responsible for unloading tankers as per schedule
• Will perform all cellar work required: tank cleaning, transfers, foaming environment, etc.
• Will back fill packaging line as required
• Operate forklift and toe motor safely in the workplace. Adhere to proper documentation, shipping labels, and material handling techniques. 

Skills for Success 

• 1-2 years of beverage manufacture, winery experience, or food manufacturing 
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize jobs
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Good communication skills and professionalism
• Past forklift experience 
• Constant awareness and adherence to HACCP requirements by consistent application of GMP’s

Schedule

• Monday to Thursday 
• 10-hour shifts 
• Rotation between day and afternoon shift  

Wages

• $25.00 - $25.60/hr Dependent on Experience
