Job Overview: As an Entry-Level Staff Accountant/Auditor, you will be an integral part of our accounting and auditing team. You will have the chance to work closely with experienced accountants and auditors, contributing to financial analysis, reporting, and conducting audit engagements. Responsibilities:

  1. Accounting Support:

    • Assist in maintaining accurate general ledger accounts, recording financial transactions, and reconciling accounts.
    • Support accounts payable and receivable functions by processing invoices, payments, and monitoring outstanding balances.
    • Help prepare standard financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
    • Enter financial data into the accounting system and contribute to financial analysis.
  2. Audit Engagement:

    • Participate in audit planning, including understanding client business processes and risk assessment.
    • Perform substantive testing, compliance testing, and analytical procedures during audit fieldwork.
    • Assist in documenting audit procedures, findings, and recommendations.
    • Collaborate with audit teams to ensure effective and efficient execution of audit engagements.
  3. Data Analysis:

    • Utilize data analysis tools and techniques to extract insights and identify patterns during the audit process.
    • Assist in analyzing financial information and identifying discrepancies or potential issues.
  4. Compliance and Reporting:

    • Contribute to the preparation and filing of tax forms, financial statements, and regulatory reports.
    • Assist in maintaining compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry guidelines.
  5. Process Improvement:

    • Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the accounting and auditing functions.
  6. Administrative Tasks:

    • Provide general administrative support to the accounting and auditing teams, including documentation and record-keeping.

Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:30am -5:00pm

Requirements:

  • Bachelor''s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong academic performance with a focus on accounting and auditing courses.
  • Prior internship or relevant work experience in accounting or auditing is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, auditing concepts, and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office Suite applications.
  • Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and a proactive approach to tasks.
  • Familiarity with accounting and audit software is an advantage.
