Responsibilities: 

• Reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings to determine layout and welding procedures.
• Taking precise measurements and planning procedures accordingly.
• Selecting the appropriate welding equipment or method based on project requirements.
• Setting up components for welding, ensuring precise cuts using powered saws to match measurements.
• Preparing parts that need to be welded by operating angle grinders.
• Aligning components accurately using calipers, rulers, and clamps.
• Performing manual or semi-automatic welding in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead) using the designated welding equipment.
• Welding metal pieces together and filling gaps to create a secure and seamless bond.
• Thoroughly testing and inspecting welded products to identify and rectify any flaws.
• Ensuring the proper maintenance and upkeep of welding equipment to guarantee safety and optimal performance.

Skills:

• Proven experience as a Welder, demonstrating your proficiency in welding techniques.
• Experience working with a variety of welding equipment and procedures, such as GMAW, GTAW, SMAW, and FCAW.
• Familiarity with electrical or manual tools, including saws, squares, and calipers.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, drawings, and welding symbols.
• Knowledge of relevant safety standards and a strong commitment to utilizing appropriate protective gear (face-shield, gloves, etc.).
• Professional certification, such as an AWS welding certificate, will be a definite plus, highlighting your dedication to your craft.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00 - $27.00 per hour

Experience level:  1 - 2 years

Shift: 

• 8 - 10 hour shift
• Day shift
• No nights
