We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Tech for a food manufacturing facility in New Orleans.

Job Summary: The Maintenance Tech is responsible for safely troubleshooting, repairing, and installing equipment within the manufacturing facility and ensuring that quality products are produced timely and efficiently. 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: 

• Demonstrates basic knowledge and proper use of hand tools
• Troubleshoots and safely repairs basic mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment and components
• Effectively prioritize equipment issues in order of importance, manage downtime, and communicate issues to peers and leadership. Escalates issues to experts or external resources as needed
• Utilize Digital Production System (Redzone) to track assigned actions, update peers, and communicate with departments
• Reads and interprets equipment drawings and OEM Manuals for packaging equipment
• Reads and follows instructions regarding daily expectations, requirements, or specifications
• Accurately completes all work orders and quality paperwork
• Enforces Reily Foods Engineering & Purchasing Standards
• Reports environmental, health, and safety concerns to leadership
• Must be flexible with weekly work schedule to troubleshoot and fix issues as they arise in a timely manner to allow production to meet business demands
• Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation and maintenance shop
• Supports and complies with GMP’s; understands and follows emergency action plan
• Ensures the operation is providing food-safe, quality products which meet or exceed all product specifications and regulatory requirements and reports any issues
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience: 

• Technical certification preferred
• 2+ years of facility maintenance experience preferred
