Express Employment is seeking a Break Press Machine Operator!

 

Pay: $19.50/hr

Schedule: M-Th from 5am - 3:30pm

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Studies prints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work-piece, sequence of operations, for pre-set NC machines
• Measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points on material or work-piece as guides for subsequent machining
• Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapers
• Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media under direct supervision of Lead
• Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and when directed adjusts machine controls or control media
• Verifies conformance of finished work-piece to specifications
• Operates hoist safely
• Performs other duties that may be assigned

 

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• High School or GED or Metals Fabrication Certificate from a technical college or trade school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience desired.              
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.                        
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.           
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
