Salary: $39.00-$45.00 per hour

We are currently hiring temporary Millwrights for our valued client, (Month of April, 2024) a global brand specializing in dairy ingredients for various food and beverage applications. They are a trusted international supplier of specialty ingredients, serving large-scale processors and top-tier brands.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• As a millwright in this role, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of the mills
• Your responsibilities may include performing preventive maintenance tasks, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment, conducting inspections, and collaborating with other team members to ensure smooth operations
• You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge machinery and technologies in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks
• Troubleshoot equipment problems and perform repairs
• Identify opportunities to improve production processes and efficiency
• Work towards improving reliability issues
• Continuously improve the maintenance program
• Maintain proper documentation on all maintenance activities
• Work closely and cooperatively with other members of the maintenance team
• Work in a safe manner; follow all safety procedures and report unsafe situations

Requirements & Skills:

• The ideal candidates for these positions will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and a keen eye for detail
• They should be experienced in millwright work, including equipment installation, maintenance, and repair, with a solid understanding of safety protocols and industry standards
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment are also essential and must be at least a Level 4 Millwright, Red Seals will also be accepted
• Millwright - Red Seal Certified or Level 4
• Great communication skills
• Work independently

• 4x10 Shift with Overtime Available
• Union Position
• Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Abbotsford, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
