Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a third party Medical Billing Company in the Tampa area. We are seeking experienced Medical Biller - Hybrid position

 

Flexible work schedule 7:30 am - 6:00 pm

 

Insurance Claim Biller Duties:

1. Research and correct suspended claims.
2. Trouble shoot any discrepancies and work with other departments to facilitate all needed actions.
3. Correct Daily Edits and Rejection Reports, and validate all errors on hold.
4. Bill Medicare and Medicaid claims
5. Run all electronic processes
6. Work with vendor to add new payors, and upgrades, trouble shoot software problems, when applicable
7. Responsible for maintaining all electronic processes
8. Provide feedback to management concerning problems or issues with recommendations for possible department improvements.
9. Responsible for understanding HICFA 1500 form locators & electronic requirements.
10. Understanding and applying all compliance mandates as it pertains to billing
11. Must meet production goals as deemed by Management
12. Supply all reporting, production reports and information requests daily 

Insurance Claim Biller Performance Requirements:

1. Knowledge of Business Office Procedures  

2. Knowledge of grammar, spelling and punctuation to type professional correspondence. 

3. Skill in operating a computer and photocopy machine.  

4. Knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office, including the ability to develop and maintain various spreadsheets and grids. 

5. Ability to work both independently and as a team member

6. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management and employees. 

7. Requires customer service skills and excellent telephone etiquette.

Insurance Claim Biller Experience:

1. Preferably 1-2 years of experience, in billing for Physician/Hospital
2. Knowledgeable with most electronic clearing house, Medicare, Medicaid.
3. Word processing and computer experience.
4. Must be a self-starter and able to work independently.
5. Excellent phone etiquette
