Plant Technician | $25 - $35 Hourly | Cimarron, Kansas

We are seeking a qualified Plant Technician for our client in Cimarron. This position will include operation, preventive, trouble shooting and responding to outages at the plants. Candidates who fill this role can expect to provide on-site operations and technical support, coordinate and enforce plant safety protocols and production rules and regulations and monitor, document, and trouble shoot per established procedures.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• List and oversee daily operations of plant to ensure all production, financial, and safety goals are met
• Implement and maintain tight quality control issues
• Commission, test, and operate plant post construction to ensure plant passes Operation Acceptance Tests
• Monitor efficiency of production processes via computerized systems and visual inspection of large equipment, that can be extremely hot, heavy, under pressure, and at elevated height
• Perform special projects and other duties as assigned by management

Minimum Skills / Requirements:

• Associates Degree, Vocational technical diploma or equivalent technical experience
• Must be able to work both independently and as a team member
• Certifications in forklift and man-lift operation is preferred
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude and an ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment
• Experience in (Fiix) work order management system is preferred
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing, operations and handling process equipment is preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to use basic handheld instruments/tools (screwdrivers, hammers, pliers, electric drills, impact wrenches, shovels, brooms, etc.) and lift to 75 lbs.
• Able to climb fixed and movable ladders up to 35 feet high
• Able to perform basic maintenance duties proficiently
• Able to work in confined spaces as needed and overhead work
