Express Employment Professionals is looking for an experienced Oilfield Laboratory Technician! #MTX

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2+ years working as an Oilfield Lab Tech II!

This is a contract to hire opportunity!

Pay: $20/Hour

Shift: Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm

Candidate must be able to successfully complete the following job duties:

Oilfield Laboratory Technician

• Sample receiving, set up, assigning laboratory sample IDs, and login into LIMS
• Conducts mechanical and wet chemical bench tests for analysis of production fluids and solids to support the field operations
• Releases routine data for analysis where competency has been established
• Operates, adjusts, and maintains scientific instruments, including, but not limited to pH meters, spectrophotometers, analytical balances, auto diluters, pipettes, and dispensers
• Prepares chemical reagents and standards according to formulae; assumes responsibility for accuracy in the preparation and standardization of solutions
• Maintains awareness of supplies and stocks on hand and requests required items in timely manner to maintain laboratory productivity
• Logs samples and related pertinent information into laboratory database
• Follows good laboratory housekeeping practices
• Maintains technical records and prepares reports
• Performs related work as assigned

• Identifies and approves acceptable replacements for standard supplies and stocks
• Identifies and, with approval, tests adaptations to methods that could increase performance or efficiency
• Evaluates tests results for reasonability and determines when it is necessary to re-run tests when results are suspect
• Identifies, resolves, and approves non-routine or complex data where competency has been established
