Looking to start your career?! A local company is seeking Assemblers to join their team. This is an evaluation to hire position and can interview and start right away! It is a 2nd shift position that will train on 1st shift.

Job Duties:

• Work closely with engineering to develop assembly processes, operation protocols, and to pursue continuous improvement throughout the facility.
• Read, interpret and understand assembly drawings and work instructions, and lifting procedures as required to perform rotor assembly operations 
• Use hand and power tools
• Load and unload material
• Input data, log job completions and manage quality records

Qualifications: 

• Ability to use precision measuring equipment to take and record measurements as required by assembly drawings. Ie; Micrometers, calipers, taper gauges, laser measuring equipment, dial indicators, pressure gauges, and special fixtures 
• Ability to complete precision rotor assembly operations
• Prepare material for assembly by cleaning and polishing
• Ability to use a computer
• Ability to work well as a team
• Ability to work while wearing a company uniform and complying with dress code
• Have reliable transportation  

Education:

• Associates'' Degree, Certificate or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or at least two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience related to precision mechanical assemblies, heavy equipment maintenance or repair, or similar fields of mechanical experience. 

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/ or move up to 50 pounds
