Skills and Abilities
Ability to work overtime hours and weekend work when required
- Ability to travel to out-of-town jobs
- Safety Compliance: Associates in this position must be extremely passionate about safety and willing to comply and promote all related safety procedures and policies.
- Possess excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact with customers, and team-members in a professional manner
- Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Basic mechanical skills including the use of hand tools.
- Basic computer skills including; internet and email.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in conveyor belt fabrication, operating a belt slitter and performing field service of conveyor belt and conveyor maintenance preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Mechanically inclined; demonstrates and applies knowledge to maintenance and repair of belting and associated machinery
- A valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record are required.
Responsibilities
- Must maintain 100% commitment to safety policies and procedures
Works closely with Service Center Manager/Field Service Supervisor in attaining goals and objectives
Good understanding of overall Quality process and documentation;
Communicate general and quality-related concerns to management/End User
Understands and can apply the following:
OSHA standards applicable to the industry
MSHA standards as applicable
Belt Construction
Tool identification
Equipment Operation
Install conveyor belts; basic rigging
Installation of LW and HW fasteners
Fabric splicing, cutting down and vulcanizing of conveyor belts
Maintain safety compliance at all times in the workplace;
Maintain 100% compliance to completion of all safety/business training as assigned;
Capable of continuous learning
