Express Employment has partnered with a specialized glass company located in the Dexter, MI area. We are seeking an employee for the Glass Installation/Glazier team.

This position is full-time, permanent and year-round, with a company offering career experience and growth!

You will work as a trainee learning the glass industry. You will work in 2-man teams accompanying an experienced installer out on job sites, and eventually learning the trade on your own. 2/3 business shower door, 1/3 window repairs. This position is a non-union opportunity.

Day shift: Monday - Friday (plus overtime as needed)

Starting Pay Rate: $19-$28/ hr. (depending on experience)

Essential Functions

• Work with glass and other glazing materials.
• Work with shower doors, shower enclosures, glass guardrails, mirrors, etc.
• Installation of hardware and other materials associated with the above items.
• Measure mirrors and dimensions of areas to be covered to determine work procedures.
• Secure mirrors in position, using mastic cement, putty, bolts, or screws.
• Cut and remove broken glass before installing replacement glass.
• Score glass with cutters’ wheels, breaking off excess glass by hand or with notched tools.
• Abide by site safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE at all times.

• Ability to stay organized and manage multiple work assignments.
• Ability to lift heavy material.
• Ability to travel depending on project locations.
• Mechanical Aptitude.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move 30-100lbs daily.
• Must be able to pass preemployment drug screening and have a valid drivers license with clean driving record.
