Job Title: Diesel Technician

Salary: $22 - $30 per hour (depending on experience)

Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:00 pm

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, performing routine maintenance tasks, and ensuring that vehicles meet safety and emissions standards. Your duties will include:

• Conducting diagnostic tests on diesel engines to identify faults and malfunctions
• Performing repairs and maintenance tasks, including replacing worn or damaged parts, and adjusting components as needed
• Conducting routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
• Performing safety and emissions inspections, and making necessary repairs to ensure compliance
• Maintaining accurate records of work performed and parts used
• Communicating effectively with customers to explain diagnoses, repairs, and maintenance needs
• Adhering to all safety and environmental regulations

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a diesel mechanic program or equivalent work experience
• Experience with diesel engine diagnosis and repair
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and techniques
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
