Warehouse Team Lead

Located in Indianapolis, IN

Salary: $23

Job Summary:

• Coordinate the daily operations of the warehouse, including but not limited to shipping and receiving, storage, mastic production, quality control, and problem resolution
• Planning and assignment of work for warehouse staff while adhering to the Companys goals, policies and procedures
• Train new associates and other company personnel on warehouse processes and procedures
• Insure the accuracy of the products received into the warehouse
• Lead Cycle Count program
• Ensure the accuracy of the orders pulled to meet customers needs from the customer orders
• Coordinate the research and resolution of any issues or problems
• Will assist in arranging daily product pickups with carriers
• Assist with maintenance of equipment, including powered industrial vehicles and any other equipment that may be used in the warehouse
• Conduct the Monday morning staff meetings
• Assist in maintaining the MSDS log in the warehouse
• Administrative tasks including but not limited to completing all shipping and receiving documents, and preparing other reports required by the organization
• May perform all duties of warehouse staff
• Ensure that the warehouse is kept clean and neat by performing housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean working environment
• Ensures that company personnel, customers, and carriers adhere to and comply with all company policies, warehouse and security procedures in the warehouse, and safety and occupational regulations. Will create and sustain a safe, healthy, and ethical work environment
• Maintains effective working relationships and exhibits a professional manner in dealing with others
• Maintain a high level of product knowledge
• Conform with and abide by all established policies, work procedures and instructions
• Must assume responsibility for accuracy and timeliness of work product
• Regular attendance
• Ability to work evenings and weekends when required
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested
  
  

 

Location: Indianapolis, Indiana

Position Type: Evaluation to Hire

Schedule:  Monday-Friday; 8hr shifts

Pay:   $23.00 per hour

 

Qualifications: 

•  Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires 3-5 years of experience in a warehouse with at 3-6 months of experience in leading others. Forklift experience is required. Knowledge of the distribution industry is preferred.
• Must have good team building skills. Must have good analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
• Must be able to lift up to 25-50 pounds. Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, and pull
• Ensure the accuracy of the orders pulled to meet customers needs from the customer orders
• Requires climbing of ladders to store items in storage racks. Have the ability to be on your feet up to 8 hours a day
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested
