We are seeking a Credit Entry Clerk for a large parts distributor in Corpus Christi, TX! This position is temp-to-hire, full time (Monday-Friday 8am-5pm), with compensation based on experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect past due amounts and resolve disputes on assigned accounts.
  • Receive payment and post amount to customer’s account and keep records of collection and status of accounts. 
  • Confer with the branches and customers to determine reasons for overdue payments and to review the terms of sales, service, or credit contracts.
  • Locate and notify customers of delinquent accounts to solicit payment.
  • Negotiate payment arrangements with existing customers.
  • Participate in credit decisions regarding new and existing accounts.
  • Perform credit investigations. Research and resolve customer disputes.
  • Recommend accounts to be placed with collection agency.

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Business Administration or Finance preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in accounting; 2-3 years experience in collections preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP components including Microsoft Outlook
