MUST HAVE COST ACCOUNTING EXPERIENCE

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with project manager to develop a detailed, cost-effective budget for the project
• Perform accounting duties throughout each project, such as preparing invoices, estimating cash flow, and signing off on purchase orders
• Analyze all transactions and working unforeseen costs into the budget
• Keep a record of all project finances for internal/external auditing and tax purposes
• Prepare cost analyses by interpreting projects'' financial data and information
• Report any financial risks and budgetary discrepancies to management for review
• Research market trends and project construction-related price increases/decreases
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers
• Keep abreast with both the construction and accounting industries

Requirements:

• A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field OR work experience equivalent to the education requirement
• Knowledge of construction cost accounting and related financial procedures
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast paced environment
