We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to join a company in the Delano area. The accountant will play a key role in maintaining financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, and providing strategic financial insights to support decision-making processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented and analytical individual to contribute to the success of our organization.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist in the preparation of internal and external financial reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Oversee the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers.
  • Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles and internal controls.
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and special projects.
  • Evaluate investment opportunities and business cases to assess their financial viability.
  • Provide insightful analysis and recommendations to senior management.
  • Accounts payable: Processing bills, guaranteeing timely payment, reconciling.
  • vendor statements.
  • Accounts receivable: Invoicing, recording payments and statements.
  • Filing: Development and maintenance of hard copy and electronic filing system(s).
  • Record financial transactions.
  • Prepare bank deposits,
  • General ledger posting.
  • Maintain records of fixed assets.
  • Works with team and outside payroll provider.
  • Research and resolve any issues or discrepancies found in accounting documentation.
  • Executes the month-end process.
  • Compile and present financial reports and summaries to management.
  • Follow established standards, procedures, and applicable laws.
  • Maintains documentation of accounting department systems and procedures.
  • Provides aid and support to company personnel as needed.
  • Participate in continuing education where applicable.
  • Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
