Material Handler

A manufacturing company located in Saline is seeking material handlers.

What you’ll be doing as the Material Handler

• Use computer/work orders/oral instructions to locate materials/parts/or containers to be moved
• Load and unload goods/materials from vehicles such as semi-truck/trailer, delivery truck, or pickup truck
• Identify any damage and report shortages or quality deficiencies
• Move materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and/or shelves by hand-truck, industrial truck, pallet jack, or by hand
• Convey materials from storage, warehouse, or work sites to designated area
• Open containers to count, weigh, and record materials moved or handled on daily production sheet
• Attach identifying labels to materials or mark information on containers
• Stack and/or assemble materials into bundles and bands/bundles together
• Operate industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products

What we look for in a Material Handler

• 6 months of forklift experience
• 6 months of material handling experience
• 6 months of shipping/receiving experience preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• HS diploma or equivalent

Additional information for the Material Handler

• $17.50 hourly
• Monday-Friday, 6:00am – 2:30pm
  • Mandatory overtime when scheduled
• Saline, 48176
