Financial Analyst Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conducts budget meetings with and/or emails reports to client to analyze costs, project future expenditures, and minimize lapse funding.
- Processes accounts payable/receivable, purchase orders, expense reimbursements/advances, and subcontractor payments and ensures timely submission to the Finance & Contracts office for payment.
- Serves as a financial liaison to the finance & contracts office. Ensures compliance with current financial policies and procedures.
- Performs account analysis and reconciliation for all accounts and communicates directly with the Financial Manager on any identified issue.
- Identifies and investigates inaccuracies within project accounts and works with staff to correct inaccuracies.
- Researches, prepares, and verifies a variety of financial data to provide information, strategies, and recommendations on accounts.
- Develops budgets for new projects and amends current project budgets as needed.
- Develops and tracks subcontracts, Letters of Agreement, and Facility Agreements and communicates directly with subcontractors and vendors when necessary.
- Troubleshoots in the areas of accounts payable, affiliate employee expense reimbursements/advances, and subcontract content to ensure quality assurance and compliance with accounting rules, policies, and project budgets.
- Maintains advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel.
- Maintains a high level of professionalism and integrity; treats program information as confidential.
- Maintains a positive, strong, credible, professional, and interpersonal relationship with all parties relevant to client projects and always represents the best interest of the company.
- Other duties as assigned.
Financial Analyst Qualifications/Requirements:
Education: Possession of a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
Experience: A minimum of three years related experience in accounts payable, budget compliance, record keeping, financial report preparation or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements: Job may require moderate physical effort including lifting materials and equipment of <25# and involves viewing a CRT or VDT screen 75% of the time. Standard office environment, with ability to work remotely at times. May require valid vehicle operator’s license where needed to perform duties of the position.
