Mig Welder - Swing Shift

Located in Sherwood, OR

Salary: $22-27 DOE

A client of ours in Sherwood is looking to add an experienced MIG Welders to their team. These positions are a great fit for hard-working, reliable individuals looking for long-term employment with competitive pay!

Swing Shift Schedule:
Monday – Thursday, 2:30 pm – 1:00 am

Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in a Welding, Fabricating, and Fitting role or have received hands-on learning through educational/trade school programs. An AAS degree in Welding Technology is a plus, but not required. Certification is also advantageous but not mandatory.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must have the following qualifications:

• Ability to prepare weldments for assembly into structural fabricated products.
• Proficiency in achieving high-quality and maximum strength welds with a wide range of metal sizes, with minimal distortion.
• Capability to read blueprints and weld symbols (able to pass a Weld Exam).
• Experience running 0.45, 0.52, 1/16 wire.
• Rudimentary math skills.
• Knowledge of jib and overhead cranes.
• Ability to fit from blueprint with or without fixtures.
• Proficient in planning all welding jobs from start to finish, using a wide range of metal sizes.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.
• Capability to work across multiple product lines (six different product lines).
• Must be able to wear steel-toed boots and metatarsal guards.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment physical, background check, drug screen, and respirator exam.
