We are recruiting for a Medical Billing Specialist for our client, a biomedical company in Ayer, MA. This is a Direct Hire position. The primary responsibilities of a Medical Billing Specialist are to support the finance organization with various duties related to medical billing and collections of customer accounts.

Responsibilities of Medical Billing Specialist:

• Contact healthcare professionals, state agencies, and insurance companies for clinical documents, eligibility, benefits, authorization, and any other items to ensure payment on as needed basis
• Working with patients and help them through the eligibility and prior authorization process with insurance companies
• Billing insurance 3rd parties and institutions
• Processing of cash receipts and creation of deposits
• Research and resolution of internal and external credit clients’ billing queries.
• Collection calls with insurance and institutions.
• Filing and e-filing of A/R.
• Interacting with Client Services and Reimbursement team members to resolve/avoid issues
• Assist with month end/year end close and reporting

Requirements of Medical Billing Specialist:

• High School diploma or equivalent; College degree is a plus
• 5+ years in medical billing, eligibility, authorization, authorization, and interaction with payers
• Previous experience with handling insurance denials, writing appeals and creating single-case agreements required
• Understanding of HCPCs and ICD10 coding required
• Previous experience with Order Management Systems, MS Office, Salesforce, and SAP preferred

This is a Direct Hire position with great growth opportunities. The hours are Mon-Fri 8:30AM-5PM. The pay rate is $60,000-$63,000 depending on experience.
