Job Description
POSITION:
Dietary Aide Full Time (6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.)
Dietary Aide Part Time (4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.)
Pay Rate: $15.00 - $17.00 / hour based on experience
SUPERVISOR: Director of Dining Services, Manager of Dining Services, and/or Cooks, Clinical Staff
Qualifications:
Ability to read and write English
Ability to follow instructions, both oral and written
Ability to endure up to four (4) consecutive hours of standing/walking
Ability to work alone and with minimal supervision as conditions dictates
Ability to understand and use cleaning supplies and/or equipment as needed
Lifts supplies and equipment up to 50 lbs.
Duties:
Prepare and serve the stated menu meal in the absence of the cook
Comprehend and utilize computerized meal production sheets with adaptive diet counts
Sweep/mop large areas as needed
Perform “short order” style cooking as needed
Responsible for setting up dining rooms for meals and cleaning same dining rooms following the meals
Responsible for reading tray tickets and assembly of meal tray
Responsible for serving an assigned section of an assigned dining room
Responsible for dish room duties
Responsible for assembling house nourishment supplies and stocking same on assigned house
Responsible for storing assigned left over snacks, nourishments, desserts with proper labels/dates/times.
Follows sanitation codes, policies including proper glove use, hair restraint and uniform
Responsible for cold food production as assigned by cook
Prepares salads, desserts, mechanically altered foods with correct counts as assigned
Delivers nourishment cart(s) to unit(s) and is responsible for cleaning and setting up cart(s)
Follow all HACCAP Regulations.
Performs duties according to the highest ethical and moral standards and in adherence with the facility’s corporate compliance plan and all applicable governing laws. Adheres to the facility’s confidentiality statement in accessing and safeguarding protected health information (PHI) of residents and employees, as necessary to perform job duties.
Performs any other duties assigned by the Department supervisors.
Due to the nature of the environment, certain immunizations are required in addition to the COVID Vaccine. Fingerprint background check and drug screen are also preemployment requirements.
