Delivery Assistant

Located in Savage, MN

Salary: Up to $20/hr

The Delivery Assistant is responsible for working with another driver, traveling to residential homes in company truck and move/lift furniture pieces. Must be capable of extremely heavy lifting and possess great customer service skills and appearance. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds when needed, lift, stand, sit, bend, kneel when necessary. Must be aware of safety and where you are at all times.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Work indoors and outdoors depending on the task
• Counting and moving products
• Stocking materials received in the appropriate areas
•  Unloading and loading freight and orders
•  Riding with the driver to deliver product in a safe and efficient manner
• Pulling orders from the yard and warehouse for driver pickup
• Assisting with physical inventories
• Assist drivers in trucks

 

Skills Required:

• Understand paperwork
• Speak and understand English

 

Physical Requirements:  Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds when needed, lift, stand, sit, bend, kneel when necessary.

 

Equipment:

• Dollies to unload
• Company will provide gloves, vest and safety glasses
• Associates have to provide their own boots (boots need to be above the ankle or have a leather toe)

 

Schedule:  Monday through Friday, 1st shift
