Forklift Operator (Paper Clamp)

Salary: $14.50/hour

We are looking for an experienced Forklift Operator for our client, a third-party logistics company. 

This position requires working outside in the elements at times.

We are looking for someone willing and able to work overtime in the evenings and on Saturdays as needed.

Pay: $14.50 / hour

Job Details:

• Operating a 10,000-pound seated forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise received, shipped, loaded, or relocated.
• Able to use different attachments for forklift operation (fork and paper clamp mechanisms)
• Moving a variety of products, including zinc, copper, large rolls of paper, and more.
• Loading & unloading rolls of paper using a paper clamp forklift attachment.
• Ensure inbound or outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. Report quality variances if necessary.
• Ensure that the exact number and product type are loaded correctly and accurately.
• Efficiently stack and store products in assigned areas.
• Ability to safely load and unload onto trucks, pallets, railcars, and containers or warehouses.
• Inspect equipment for safety before use.

Days & Hours:

• Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM-4:30 PM.
• Overtime and weekend work are required.

Requirements:

• At least 2-3 years of verifiable experience operating a forklift.
• Forklift certification is preferred but not required.
• Experience working with a paper clamp is highly preferred but not required.
• TWIC card is preferred but not required.
• Work boots are required.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable vehicle required.
• Must be able to read and write.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
• Repetitive bending, lifting, twisting, and standing for long periods.
