Express Employment is seeking skilled Machinists to operate a variety of CNC machines. Knowledge of mathematics and mechanics are a must! Candidates must be willing to respect safety precautions. This position has potential to become a long-term opportunity.
Position Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Set up and operate CNC Machines to perform operations according to specifications

Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders to determine dimensions and tolerances

Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines
-
Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and make adjustments as necessary

Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to customer specifications

Maintain accurate records of production quantities, times, and materials used

Perform routine maintenance tasks on machines as needed

Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work area

Other duties as assigned

Proven experience as a CNC Machinist

Experience in using and/or programming manual, semi-automated, or automated tools and machines (lathes, grinders, mills, etc.)

Ability to use precision tools (e.g. calipers) to take accurate measurements

Knowledge of the properties of metal and other material
-
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals
-
Good at math with analytical abilities
-
Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items
-
High school diploma or equivalent
-
Completion of vocation training or an apprenticeship is a plus!
