Welder 1 – $17-$22 per hour

 

Express Employment Professionals of Lakeland is a professional staffing company dedicated to helping local businesses find great people. We are currently seeking a Welder 1 for a Lakeland, FL client.

Responsibilities:

Some typical tasks performed may include a combination of the following:

• Review project assignment/instructions from Team Leader
• Review drawings and welding details for job
• Obtain understanding of tasks and develop action plan
• Set up welding machine and other required equipment
• Weld assemblies per the required standards
• Ensure work meets quality standards
• Consistently look for ways to eliminate waste and improve processes
• Practice safety in all aspects of job
• Look for safety issues with equipment and processes
• Participate in safety improvement programs
• Participate in tier meetings

Qualifications: 

• High School Diploma/GED
• Proven ability to consistently produce high quality and precision welds on all fabricated components
• 3+ years’ welding experience required
• Read and understand weld detail drawings, blueprints, welding procedures, and shop travelers
• Fluent in English, working with written and verbal communications
• Attend continual education for welding process
• Ability to work with little or no supervision while meeting high-performance standards
• Ability to follow instructions

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 6:00am-3:30pm; OT available on Saturdays 6am-12pm
