Plant Maintenance Mechanic

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our client's evening shift. Our client is a family-owned business located in New Orleans.  The primary responsibility of this position is to assist with maintaining an industrial food processing facility. Responsibilities would include performing preventative/predictive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting industrial baking equipment.

Strong independent troubleshooting skills, including leveraging the available resources to complete a repair, are critical for success in this role.  The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical background, be mechanically inclined, and have the ability to perform repairs and preventative maintenance on all machinery, i.e., packaging, ovens, and mixing equipment.

Pay: $52,000 to $75,000 / year

Shift:

• Working 6 days/week.
• 8-hour shifts, including nights and weekends.
• The schedule is based on production needs, so this position requires that you be flexible.
• Holidays required as needed

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum of four years of working experience repairing industrial manufacturing equipment.
• Experience performing electrical troubleshooting on production machinery.
• Knowledge of PLC.
• Experience performing small motor maintenance.
