Salary: $17-$20 per hour

Machine Operators/CNC Operators! Multiple local Ithaca and Cortland area companies are searching for Machine Operators and CNC Machinists through Express Employment Professionals. The operators/machinists will have primary responsibilities within the operations department. We are working with the top manufacturing organizations in the community looking for motivated staff who will help grow their organizations to a new level of production. Machine Operators/CNC Machinists work independently, and as part of a team at times, with limited supervision.

Primary Duties:

  • Set up, operate, and maintain production equipment
  • Cut, shape, or form small diameter, close tolerance parts
  • Maintain clean and organized work area
  • Uphold safety and quality assurance standards
  • Accurately fill in any required documents

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Good communication skills
  • Experience in CNC-machining a plus
  • Ability to understand documents like blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Experience in medical device manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, machinery, or metals helpful
  • Experience with measurement and inspection tools like micrometers and microscopes preferred

You will work with senior Machine Operators/CNC Machinists and other skilled tradesman, offering an opportunity to gain on the job training.
