Optical/Electrical Testing OPERATOR

• Schedule: Multiple Shifts

SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS

• Actively involved in all duties for procedures related to inspection of inner layers of circuit board
• functionality and electrically testing continuity of printed circuit boards
• ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• All equipment, tools and workspace in the Department should be cleaned, maintained, and used properly
• Ensure preventive maintenance of equipment is performed regularly
• Follow Work Order/Job/Rout Sheets and posted procedures
• Inspect the inner layers prior to manufacturing to multilayer printed circuit boards
• Verify conductivity of inner layer circuits
• Post etch punch after AOI complete
• Select and set up tester
• Test printed circuit board to check for breaks or shorts in circuitry
• Attach printout to defective boards
• Analyze defects to determine extent of defect for repair
• Mark tested boards
• Record any repairs
• Notify supervisor of unusual operating problems or excessive defects
• Comfortable operating with/around chemicals; Safety is priority around chemicals
• Performs other duties as necessary or as requested by production management
• Must attend work in a timely manner (on schedule); when unable to work on time, must call attendance Line and supervisor/manager
• Working extended hours when required
• Use equipment safely

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

• Reports to department supervisor and Director of Operations

QUALIFICATIONS

• A high school diploma is required; must be able to read, write and speak in English

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Standing for long periods of time is required
• No heavy lifting is expected. Exertion of up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally may be required

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• This position is in a manufacturing setting with exposure to noise, dirt, and chemical smell
