Salary: $28-$36/hour DOE

Engineer-Estimator - great pay (up to $75k/year), full-time hours!
 
We are looking for an Engineer-Estimator to join our growing team! As an Engineer-Estimator, you''ll be reviewing project data to compute cost factors and prepare estimates for the purpose of planning and scheduling work, selecting vendors and subcontractors, and determining cost effectiveness.
 
Essential Duties:
  • Reviewing data to determine material, labor requirements and manufacturing sequences
  • Computing cost factors and preparing estimates used for planning, organizing and scheduling work, preparing bids, selecting vendors/subcontractors, and determining cost effectiveness
  • Consulting with planning and production departments regarding the product design and tooling
  • Conferring with vendors to determine product specifications and evaluating products according to specifications and quality standards
  • Fielding clients'' technical questions and engineering issues

What we''re looking for:
  • Ideally 8 to 10 years of experience
  • Experience with metals
  • Experience with preparing quotes and estimates
  • Degree is a preferred but not mandatory
  • Knowledge of Digital Product Definition (DPD) compliance
  • Reading/interpreting detailed drawings and/or blueprints
  • Knowledge of modeling software such as SolidWorks, Catia, etc.
  • Effective communication skills (written & verbal)
