Now hiring a 1st Shift WELDER FABRICATOR!!!!

 

Summary : Lays out, fits, and welds fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble structural forms such as crane components, cranes, jib cranes and structures; performs electrical assembly/wiring for overhead cranes, testing of cranes and repairs hoists by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Selects equipment and plans layout, assembly, and welding according to shop drawings.

Sets up equipment and welds parts, using arc, gas-shielded arc, submerged arc, or gas welding equipment.

Assembles parts by bolting and riveting.

Repairs products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts.

Basic electrical mounting and assembly for overhead cranes: basic wire connections, running crane electrification as required, mounting panels, motors, and drives. Test motors for proper rotation and speed.

Disassemble cranes/package for shipment and load trucks.

Repairs hoists as required. Assembly of hoist wire ropes. Other duties as assigned.

Operates forklift, overhead cranes, jib cranes, saw, punch and other fabrication equipment.

Able to read and interpret fabrication drawings.

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or less than one to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.


Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.


Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
