Our client is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team!

Responsibilities:

• Process all Accounts Payable transactions (approvals, coding, managing currencies)
• Accurately review, reconcile and process vendor payments
• Match invoices to purchase orders with bill of lading
• Liaise with different departments for purchase orders and approvals
• Review and process employee expense reports
• Prepare and issue payments (cheque, wire, EFT)
• Combine documents via PDF
• Record financial transactions and assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Conduct physical inventory counts when needed
• Perform other tasks that may be assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

• Advanced in MS Excel (XLOOKUP and Pivot Tables)
• 2-3 years of Accounts Payable experience
• 2-3 years experience using QuickBooks (or related ERP system)
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive)
• Excellent organizational and attention to detail skills
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Good time management skills, self motivated and self-directed

Bonus Qualifications:

• Proficient in using NetSuite (asset)
• Post-secondary education in Accounting (asset)
• Ability to handle a variety of high-pressure situations and work independently
• Can-do attitude with a pleasant phone demeanor

Compensation and Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 8:00am to 5:00pm
• Pay Rate: $22-24 per hour
