Multiple companies in the Manhattan and Wamego areas are hiring for Carpenters now. Must have knowledge with working with woodworking machines, hand tools, power tools, and wooden fixtures used in buildings. You will be required to stand for long durations of the day and lifting up 50 pounds at a time. Full time hours. Pay is $18 - $23 depending on experience. 

 

Responsibilities Include: 

- Installing wooden structures such as roofing frames, rafters, partitions, joists and stud work

-Designing and installing cabinets, shelving, fitted furniture, drywall and insulation

- Adding fixtures and fittings such as door handles, locks, hinges and closures

- Selecting lumber by size and strength to suit each job

- Reading blueprints and designs to work to specifications
