Mechanical Assembly
Direct Hire $20/hr.-$21/hr.
Day shift: 6am 2:30pm with overtime

Position Summary:

Fits and assembles components to construct, rebuild and repair CNC machinery and equipment.

Primary Responsibilities:

Analyze assembly blueprint and specifications, plans machine building operations.
Verify conformance of parts to stock list and blueprints.
Lay out hole locations and drills and taps holes on parts for assembly.
Align components for assembly and bolts, screws, dowels, welds, or rivets parts together, or arranges for assembly by Welder and Electrician.
Verify alignment and tolerances of moving parts.
Test operation of assembly manually or with powered controls.
Follow all quality checks and procedures. Participate in root cause analysis to reduce unnecessary quality issues.
Communicates with coworkers, management, staff, the general public, and others in a courteous and professional manner. Participates in Team activities to build relationships across the organization.
This position may be assigned other duties as needed to support plant and to meet customer needs.

Job Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED
Some college or technical school preferred
Minimum of 1-2 years of industrial related experience in setup, blueprint reading, mechanical assembly
Ability to understand basic machinery operation.
Demonstrate a willingness to cooperate in a team environment.
Ability to recognize and identify parts, problems, and offer resolution.
