Salary: $15.00 - $19.00 / Hour BOE

Saw Operator

1st Shift: Monday - Friday

Hours: 7:00am to 5:00pm

Pay Rate: $15.00 - $19.00/HR

 

Job Description:

• Operate forklift to retrieve material from the rack
• Place material on the saw table,
• Program saw to cut material down to customer specifications
• Use caliper and tape measure to ensure material is being cut to the correct specifications
• Change saw blades as needed
• Place material back into racks
• Transfer inventory from bin locations
• Keep work area clean

 

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• General warehouse experience
• Forklift experience – Stand up and sit down
• Able to lift 50 to 75lbs
• Accurately measure using a tape measure
• Must be able to convert fractions to decimals (There is a written test you must pass)
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Previous experience operating a bandsaw or similar type of equipment is preferred
• Experience with metal grades and recognition preferred
• Minor machine maintenance
