Express Employment Professsionals is seeking Structural Fitters/Welders for our client in Victoria, Tx.

Requirements:

•  Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints, ISO’s, to identify weld symbols
  
• Install segments securely with welding or other equipment
  
• Ensure structural beam sizes, hangers, supports, and joint needs for accurate flow
  
•  Cut and alter structural beams to ensure correct sizes
  
•  Repair and reinforce broken, cracked, or inadequate systems or beams
• Layout, position, align, weld, and fit parts for steel fabrication
• Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on project requirements.
• Operate angle grinders to prepare parts that require welding.
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions
• Ensure that work is performed safely and meets quality standards.
• Keep the job site clean and organized at all times.
• Operate fabrication equipment, such as Jib cranes, overhead cranes, forklifts, and pallet jacks.

Must pass a MIG weld test. The test consists of a guided bend test with two one-inch 3x6" plates, one beveled and one squared. Must be able to perform a full pin test with back gouge.
