Salary: $14+/HR (DOE)

Express Employment Professionals is currently accepting applications for a Water Plant Operator.

Duties to include:

• Skilled work in the operation of a water treatment plant including routine adjustment of equipment and machinery.
• Ensure water quality by sampling and testing via laboratory work.
• Ensure adequate water quantity and distribution via monitoring of water demand.
• Monitor plant and well equipment via remote and local sensors.
• Monitor chemical use and adjust dosages.
• Backwash multi-media and granular activated carbon filters.
• Preventive and general maintenance of systems, equipment and appurtenances.
• Subject to callback duties & call-outs during off duty hours.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Requirements:

• Prefer two or more years’ experience in water/wastewater plant operations & maintenance.
• Prefer technical education in a related field.
• Current Class “C” Operator & Laboratory license is required.
• Must be able to read, prepare, complete and concise reports. Computer skills preferred.
• Will be required to work outdoors in all types of weather.
• Must have strength to pull, lift and push 50-pound objects on a frequent basis.

• Must be flexible to work any schedule and be available for on-call emergencies
