Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Marketing Director for a nonprofit organization in the Durham, NC area.

This is a Full-Time position with an annual salary of $65,000.

As the Marketing Director, you will develop, monitor the performance of, and fine tune marketing campaigns to further the organization’s mission.

Responsibilities Include:

• Ensure marketing plans reflect the current needs of the organization and support long-term goals.
• Work to ensure editorial content, design, production, distribution and revenue streams for all printed or digital marketing/communication outlets.
• Direct all public relations activities that generate media interest and ensure appropriate responses to media.
• Prepare and distribute news releases, media alerts and other announcements to gain positive media attention for the organization.
• Manage the organization’s social media presence with the assistance of the Events Coordinator.
• Establish and ensure adherence to the organization’s standards and policies across all marketing mediums.
• Consistently monitor the market for strategic partnership opportunities.
• Cultivate a pro-marketing culture within the organization by motivating and encouraging other to promote services and special events.
• Work across departmental lines to ensure seamless and coordinated marketing efforts.

Desired Qualifications:

• Five years or more of experience in writing/editing professional-level market-driven publications and printed materials
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Journalism, or other related field is preferred
• Ability to work collaboratively, explain issues in need of resolution, discuss potential actions, and suggest practical, researched resolutions
• Excellent communication and public relations skills coupled with the ability to influence others in a positive manner
• Ability to manage multiple projects, while meeting all deadlines
