VALVE TECH - GONZALES, LA A604

 

Valve Tech needed to work in valve repair shop and will be responsible for evaluation and repair of sampling valves, valve actuators, sampling cylinders and related accessories.

 

Job Duties Include:

 

• Receive and inspect various valves, cylinders and parts
• Troubleshooting of various valves, cylinders and parts: Perform inspection, pretesting, disassembly, cleaning, assembly, final testing and final inspection based on customer communications and company procedures
• Ensure work and used materials are in compliance with specifications
• Inventory control: inform supervisor of parts that need to be ordered
• Prepare, pack and get the material ready for shipping
• Perform general shop maintenance, cleanup and other duties as required

 

Skills and Experience Required:

 

• Must be able to read and interpret various part drawings, customer specifications, MSDS and valve assembly and maintenance instructions
• Strong mechanical aptitude/experience - Technically inclined
• Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly
• Self-motivated, hands on, ambitious
• Strong Attentive to detail
• Valve assembly or technical school experience is highly preferred, but will consider someone with strong mechanical skills that can be trained.
