Monday - Thursday

Day Shift -Four 10 hour shifts (4:00am/5:30am- 3:00pm/ 4:00pm with occasional overtime and Friday work)

Pay Rate: $26.17

Responsibilities:

• Locate weld locations on blueprints and other schematic drawings for sub-assembly or assembly.
• Arrange parts and structures of common weldments, usually guided by patterns or fixtures. Verifies that layouts comply with drawings and symbols.
• Loads, unloads, and places into position a variety of welding fixtures, depending on the production team needs.
• Measures distances using precision devices. Verifies accuracy by comparing to measurement specifications.
• Prepares welding equipment for proper usage. Verifies proper energy source and supplies. Prepares the layout of equipment to perform as needed. Moves equipment in to proper location to maximize safety, function, and quality.
• Assures that welds conform to quality standards and product specifications.

Qualifications:

• Requires a basic technical knowledge of MIG welding techniques and setup, verification, and operation of welding equipment.
• Requires sufficient welding skill to comply with quality standards and product specifications.
• Requires a basic knowledge of blueprint layouts and symbols.
• Requires a working knowledge of quality principles, safe work habits, and continuous improvement methods.
• Requires skill at resolving work station-related problems affecting equipment, production, or quality.
• Requires sufficient human relations skill to convey information to and maintain harmony with team members.
• Requires a working knowledge of production processes and equipment.
• Requires the ability to perform common welds according to production and workflow requirements.
• Requires the ability to perform standardized layouts of parts prior to welding, to accurately identify weld locations, and perform detailed measurements.
• Requires the ability to pass the Weld Test.
